What makes belegbuddy different

There is no shortage of receipt tools. Most of them want to take over all of your bookkeeping, push every receipt through the same AI without asking, and bill you in ways that are hard to follow. We built belegbuddy in Vienna differently. These are the differences you notice day to day.

We don’t want to be your bookkeeping

belegbuddy takes care of the receipts and hands them over cleanly as Excel, CSV or PDF. Your accountant keeps using their own software. Nobody has to switch.

AI is a switch, not a must

Analysis can be switched off per receipt box. From the Business plan you choose the model: cloud without training on your data, a local model inside the EU, or your own API key.

You can see what the AI uses

Token consumption is shown on the dashboard and the quota is part of the plan. No invoice you need to decode.

Built for Austria

VAT rates of 10, 13 and 20 percent, VAT ID checks via VIES, company register lookup, cash register QR codes. It works just as well for Germany.

WhatsApp that replies

Send a photo and belegbuddy sends back a short summary: what was booked, with whom, and whether it all checks out. No app to install.

Bank statement only as PDF? Fine.

Besides CAMT, MT940, CSV and Excel, the AI also reads PDF statements and checks the balances. Receipts are then matched to the transactions.

Depreciation without a spreadsheet

Straight-line, declining-balance, half-year rule: the calculator creates the yearly bookings and the register shows what is still to come.

Receipt boxes instead of a data jumble

Company, rental property, club and project stay apart, each with its own email address. Receipts can be moved between boxes.

Small things that save a lot of time

In the inbox, the Insert key accepts the suggestion and moves on; on a phone a swipe is enough. Business partners are recognised by IBAN, domain or cash register ID and bring their category with them. And if you need to share a receipt with someone outside, a link does it, with every access logged.

Your data stays yours

Everything is stored on servers in Germany. We don’t sell anything on, show no ads and use no trackers. You can export everything at any time, including when you cancel: after that you still have 30 days to take your data with you.

Fair on price

The Starter plan costs nothing, permanently. Paid plans start at €9.90 a month with annual billing, and can be cancelled monthly if you pay monthly. You only decide which plan you need once your first receipt box is set up.
